Success Stories

#Success #Story 1
Neurorehabilitation

"A 35 year old female with stroke for last 7 years approached Solace Physiotherapy".

....Neurophysiotherapy brings quality to life....

Half of her body was not performing properly with the result faced a lot of problems at home and out-doors while walking and performing activities with her hand. She walked with a conspicuous limp that had stigmatised her to the hilt. Could not use her arm appropriately while cooking and other daily activities. Had given up hope and felt that her future was at stake.
With the application of latest concepts of neuro-Physiotherapy the patient started responding to the treatment that gave her some hope. Over a period of 4 months she walked using a near normal pattern, felt comfortable in all the household activities. Finally got engaged and will be getting married next year..

Thank Almighlty for helping us to achieve the landmarks she set for her.
Stay tuned for many more success stories...

BACK PAIN

Back Pain (Disc Prolapse)

Back problem usually presents as a pain in the back that radiates down the leg/legs. Most of the back pains result from Disc Prolapse. Almost 80% of people suffer from back pain once in lifetime and the severity of pain and diasbility ranges from mild to severe.

....pain eats your money and time, hit it back....

With the change in lifestyle we have become highly susceptible to back pain.
Various factors such as sedentary (less active) lifestyle, undue bending, lifting weights using bad postures, etc contribute to back problems. With the result the disc between two vertebrae bulges out due to increased amount of pressure and bulging disc starts irritating the nerves that eventually leads to pain travelling down the legs which is commonly called as sciatica.

Severity of Pain and disability varies among the people with some individuals feeling severe pain and weakness in back and legs. Some people face bowel and bladder problems too.

...Physiotherapy: A viable Option...

Research reports suggest that non-surgical management is treatment of choice to tackle prolapsed Disc. PHYSIOTHERAPY remains the mainstay of the treatment for such problems. From pain relief to muscle strengthening, a Physiotherapist makes sure that once treated it does not recur. Physiotherapy treatment is highly beneficial because it has  no adverse effects and provides long term relief.

We at Solace Physiotherapy provide best possible services for the management of this problem.

Cerebral Palsy and other types of Developmental Delay

.....Earlier the intrervention Better the quality of living......

Delayed milestone, also called developmental delays, is used to describe the condition where a child does not reach one of these stages at the expected age. However, in most cases, a wide variety of ages can be considered normal, and not a cause for medical concern.

Cerebral palsy (CP) is a group of permanent movement disorders that appear in early childhood. Signs and symptoms vary among people. Often, symptoms include poor coordination, stiff muscles, weak muscles and tremors. Often, babies with cerebral palsy do not roll over, sit, crawl or walk as early as other children of their age. Other symptoms include seizures and problems with thinking or reasoning which each occur in about one third of people with CP. While symptoms may get more noticeable over the first few years of life, underlying problems do not worsen over time.

.....It has been found that parents and other family members have a lot of psychological, social and financial burden on them....

Physiotherapy is the only hope for such children and their families.
We at Solace Physiotherapy offer state of the art treatment services for children with cerebral palsy and other types of developmetal delays. The consultants are specialised in neurorehabilitation with international certification in latest treatment called Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT). We have treated a number of children with such problems and have achieved 100% success.

            Cervical Radiculopathy

Cervical Radiculopathy or Pinched Nerve occurs when a nerve in the beck gets  compressed or irritated where it comes out of the spinal canal. This may cause pain in shoulder that may travel down the arm and may also lead to numbness and weakness in the arm.

Cervical radiculopathy is often caused due to wear and tear changes that occur with the age. In younger people it is mostly caused due to injury or postural abnormality that leads to disv herniation.

Cervical radiculopathy results in pain in neck that travels down the arm and may lead to numbness and weakness of muscles. This Pain is usually sharp and burning and moving the neck may aggravate the pain.

....Cure the cause not the symptom....

In this part of world this problem is growing at an alarming rate and has increased manifold because of frequent use of mobiles and other handheld gadgets. Unfortunately younger people are becoming victims of this ailment, therefore, affecting the quality of life.

....Physiotherapy intervention has taken a vital place in managing this problem....
